There is an old Dominican tradition to dedicate Tuesday to St. Dominic, and it extends back to the beginnings of the Order.  The first translations of the relics of that holy saint took place on Whit-Tuesday (May 24) in 1233, and successive Chapters introduced various liturgical practices into the Office and Mass of the Order, as a means of fostering devotion to St Dominic.  In 1631, the Devotion of the 15 Tuesdays was introduced in Florence.  Fr Michael Bruni exhorted the faithful to pray to St. Dominic and promise to receive Communion on 15 consecutive Tuesdays.  This year, the Devotion runs from April 26 to August 2.  While no indulgences are attached to the devotion anymore, we can still honor the holy founder of the great Order.

What is recommended to be done?
Spend some time each Tuesday in devout meditation or offer some prayers in honor of St Dominic (or perform some other act of piety).  (If you can, also try to assist at Mass and receive Communion!)

How can I do that?
One of the “easiest” ways to do so is to pray “O lumen Ecclesiae!”  This is antiphon is sung (or recited) each night at the end of Compline in the Liturgy of the Hours/Divine Office.
