Spiritual Bouquet for Brs. John Sica,  Raymund Snyder, OP

On Saturday May 21st, Br. John Sica and Br. Raymund Snyder, both of the Order of Preachers, will be ordained to the Sacred Priesthood of Our Lord Jesus Christ (along with nine of their brethren).  This joyous occasion will be broadcast on EWTN at 9:30am EST.

Since Brs John and Raymund both had summer assignments with our parish, and were active and involved in our group, we would like to present them a spiritual bouquet on behalf of our group at their ordination.  The intentions for the spiritual bouquet are for their private intentions, in thanksgiving for their ordination/vocation, and that they faithfully love and serve Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Traditionally, a spiritual bouquet consists of performing spiritual goods and sacrifices like praying rosaries, having Masses said (or praying for them at Mass), spending an hour at Eucharistic Adoration, or making other sacrifices or devotions.  We would like to ask you all to join us in praying for them, and if you would like to participate in the bouquet, please keep track what you do, and let Katie or Andy know by Friday, May 20th.  If you would like to pray a novena for their intentions, that would traditionally be prayed from Thursday, May 12 until Friday, May 20th.

Wednesday night – Walking bridge and rosary

Wednesday, May 4th:  Join us in honor of Mary’s Month of May for a rosary walk across the Big 4 Bridge (Walking Bridge) and a stop in Indiana for ice cream or a drink.   We will meet on the Kentucky side near the entrance of the bridge at 7:00pm.
In case of rain or bad weather we will meet for the rosary in the Church with the rosary windows as aids for meditation. Social gathering will follow. Look for an email in the late afternoon if there is concern over the weather (if you’re not on our email list, sign up here!).

Sunday, May 8th: At the 10:30am Mass, the annual May crowning will occur in the church.  Please join us for this tribute and honoring of the Blessed Virgin Mary!  (Mother’s Day is also this weekend, so don’t forget to get something for your mother!  You could, say, buy a rose for your mother from the Rose Sale fundraiser for Little Way Pregnancy Resource Center!  $2 for a single rose, $20 for a dozen.  And, don’t forget to honor your spiritual mother, the Blessed Virgin, this weekend as well!  Consider lighting a candle at the Lourdes Grotto in church in thanksgiving and honor to her!)
